About the Local Highway Authority Supply Chain Collaboration Toolkit

This Toolkit is designed to give Local Highway Authorities guidance and documentation that will enable them to review their new and existing contractual arrangements and implement efficiency measures, not only at the point of procurement but also during the course of existing contracts. In addition, Toolkit describes how Local Highway Authorities can develop employment and skills strategies and integrate them into their existing contracts.

Why the Local Highway Authority Supply Chain Collaboration Toolkit is needed

The HMEP Programme Board understands that Local Highway Authorities are under pressure to deliver efficiency in respect of highway maintenance and that many such Authorities have entered into long term maintenance contracts that have a number of years still to run. In addition, we understand the need to have a skilled workforce that is fully qualified to meet the extensive needs of the nation's highways.

Connect and Share

HMEP invites local highway authorities and their providers to connect and share their practices of ‘what works’ across the sector.

Connect with fellow professionals from across the highways sector and access real examples that can help ignite ideas.

Share your ‘real life’ efficiency practices, stories and experiences; to help other people, organisations and networks achieve greater efficiency.
